After matriculating from Eunice High School in Bloemfontein, where she took art as a subject, Nadine travelled extensively, which has had a major influence on her art. Having taken various additional art courses over the years in various mediums, she decided that for her, pen works best.
She describes her art as multi-dimensional, often in black and white (with a hint of colour at times) - and mostly fantastical with deep underlying messages.
